MICROBLADING BROWS

WHAT ARE MICROBLADING BROWS?

So you’ve seen it mentioned in Elle, OK! Magazine, The Daily Mail and other high flying publications, but what exactly are Microblading Brows?

The treatment incorporates specialist techniques create ultra-realistic looking hair strokes for highly defined perfectly shaped brows.

Microblading is a technique used to create the most realistic looking brows using fine ‘hairstrokes’ to mimic the look of real brows.

Instead of traditional cosmetic tattoo treatments which use a machine, Microblading uses a handheld tool to meticulously create fine hair strokes one by one.

Pigment is then implanted into the channels created by the tool and the result is realistic looking, permanent brows.

In your treatment

The treatment starts with an in depth consultation. The brows are first drawn on to compliment the individuals face shape and enhance the facial features. Once you’re happy with the shape (the brows can be re-drawn as many times as needed), numbing cream is applied to make the process as comfortable as possible.

They may say no pain no gain but, in reality, the treatment will cause very minimal discomfort with many clients saying it just feels like tiny surface scratches on the skin. A colour/pigment is then matched to best suit and compliment your skin tone and hair colour.

The glyder is then used to create the finest of hair strokes of different lengths and directions.

Whether you just want the convenience of permanent makeup to save precious snoozing time in the morning or you have hair loss, sparse eyebrows, thinning hair or over-plucking, Brows are personalised every time to help you ditch those eyebrow pencils for goodand wake up with perfect eyebrows every day.

  • – Do not take fish oil or vitamin E one week prior

  • – If you are on medication that thins the blood, I will require a doctor’s note or a signed waiver and will have spoken to you about this during consultation

You also need to wash your hair prior to the appointment, so you can avoid water around your brow area the evening of the treatment.

If you want to, you can bring headphones to the treatment to reduce the sound during the process.

I reserve the right to refuse service to anybody that I do not feel is suitable for the procedure, regardless of the view of the individual themselves or their doctor.

After Care Instructions

Small Details Make a BIG Difference

What you do before and after can have a massive impact on results

The instructions below detail aftercare processes.

What to Expect

Your cosmetic tattoo will appear 30% to 50% darker for the first few days. It takes 7-10 days for the skin to heal. Once it has, the colour will soften. The true shade will start to show at week 4. Any loss of pigment or shape will be corrected during your touch up appointment.

How to Care for Your Cosmetic Tattoo
Do not let any direct running water, lotion, soap, sweat, or makeup touch your brows for the first 5-7 days.

For the 5-7 days following treatment apply a rice-grain sized amount of aftercare product to your brows – morning and night, starting tonight. Gently wipe over your brows with a cotton pad dampened with filtered water before applying aftercare.

You may experience some itchiness in the first 2-4 days. This is normal and means healing is beginning. Do not pick the tattooed area. Doing so will
decrease your final colour.

Long-Term Care

The duration of your tattoo depends on a range of factors, including skin type, colour and lifestyle. You can increase longevity by avoiding over-exfoliating the area, by using sunscreen in sunny climates and by avoiding any retinols or vitamin A products on the area.
